Calgary’s first female police inspector retires

Joan McCallum is hanging up her holster after 36 years of policing.
McCallum tells the Sun she made a point to prove women are equal in everyday to their male counterparts.
McCallum was promoted to Duty Inspector back in 1999, when women made up less than 10 per cent of the force.
She says she will miss the job, but not wearing the uniform.
