Perogy Boyz part of Calgary food revolution

Street food is all the rage in Calgary this summer and one of the most popular food trucks features an overseas flair.

Brendan Bankowski of the Perogy Boyz says they’ve been in business for less than two weeks.

He tells 660News Calgarians have embraced the Eastern European favorite.

“I’m from Regina,” he says. “My business partner is from Saskatoon. Our grandmas both lived in the perogy belt and we were raised on perogies.”

On the truck, they serve a variety of perogy type including ground duck and organic Saskatoon berry.
