Mayor takes in Canada Night at Globalfest

Mayor Naheed Nenshi made a surprise appearance Tuesday night to take in some fireworks at Globalfest.

Calgary’s own Dan Roy of Big Bang Fireworks Inc. made his fifth appearance during Canada night in a spectacle that included an unexpected segment set to music from Justin Bieber.

Mayor Nenshi then took to the main stage to greet the crowd of 16,000 and show his appreciation to Globalfest chair, Ric McIver.  

Thursday night, the 2010 People’s Choice Award winner, Parente Fireworks, will defend its title for Italy Night.
