Pedestrian hurt

A man in his early 20’s is badly hurt after apparently walking into the side of a moving truck in the southeast Saturday night.

Police say it appears the victim was heavily intoxicated when he hit the rear quarter panel of an F-150 at Southland Drive and Fairmont.

Duty Inspector Paul Malchow tells 660News paramedics rushed the man to hospital with life threatening injuries but his condition has since improved to serious.

The intersection was shut down for several hours for the investigation.
