A book on renewable energy has done so well, the author is offering copies on-line or free.
When it was published, author Craig Shields says ‘Renewable Energy – Facts and Fantasies’ shot to the top of the charts in a couple of categories on Amazon.com.
Shields tells 660News the idea of giving away electronic copies just made sense.
“I did well with it, in other words, a lot of people bought it and read it and I think that’s cool, but now I think it’s time to make it as broadly available as I possibly can and I figured giving it away is a reasonable way of accomplishing that,” says Shields.
The book is based on interviews with 25 of the world’s top researchers, authors, analysts and experts on renewable energy.
“If we were going to move fairly rapidly in the direction of renewables, which technologies would we adopt? Well, that’s a wide open question because there are dozens of different flavours of bio-mass alone. So it’s a very difficult question and a very interesting one that I think readers are fairly well served to get to these different viewpoints on,” says Shields.
