LRT safety review underway

A string of deaths on CTrain lines across the city has prompted the transportation department to review safety.

Four people have died in recent weeks on LRT lines, the latest on Sunday at the Chinook Station.

Transportation Manager Mac Logan told council Monday that the CTrain system is safe, but they will review safety procedures to see if anything can be done.

Logan stresses you can’t make people pay attention when they cross train intersections.

Logan believes some of the deaths have been intentional.
