CTrain users should prepare for many more long and frustrating delays in the coming months.
That’s the assessment from Fred Wong, the head of Calgary Transit, following electrical problems along the northeast line that caused delays for tens of thousands of riders earlier this week.
Wong tells The Calgary Herald until all 82 old transit cars are fully replaced, which won’t happen until 2022, issues will arise.
Just three of the old cars are set to be retired next year.
The CTrain celebrated its 30th birthday this year as one of North America’s busiest light-rail lines.
