Rappel down the Calgary Tower for charity

Those with a fear of heights need not apply; the 3rd annual Rappel Down the Calgary Tower starts at noon on Thursday with money raised going to charity.

The entry free for the 190-metre descent is $5,000 and for a team of three, it’s $10,000.

The event raised more than $54,000 last year for the Sir Edmund Hillary Foundation, which brings education, health services and environmental programs to Nepalese Sherpas.
