Province’s largest natural gas plant coming

With construction of the province’s largest natural gas power plant getting underway, the facility will hold a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday morning.

Mayor Naheed Nenshi and interim Enmax President and CEO Charles Ruigrok, along with newly-appointed Chairman of the Board Greg Melchin, will be on hand at Shepard Energy Centre at 9:30 a.m.

The natural gas plant is in the Shepard Industrial Park in the southeast.
