Airdrie church explains how it screens volunteers

In the wake of the discovery a convicted pedophile had volunteered at an Airdrie church, RCMP and church leaders will meet with the community to explain how they screen volunteers.
According to The Calgary Sun, Airdrie Mayor Peter Brown, Insp. Tony Hamori and members of the Airdrie Alliance Church will host the seminar at the church Thursday at 7 p.m.
They’ll also talk about what information is available to them on the sex offender registry.
