A Calgary psychologist says we’re heading into the most moody and grumpy time of year.
Sheldon Walker tells 660News, less sunlight and colder temperatures have a big impact on our lives and they way we interact with one another.
Walker says humans are inherently in-tune with the weather, because it’s part of our evolution.
He says those who suffer from seasonal affectiveness disorder should seek out professional help.
His advice to counter the change in the weather is to turn on the lights in the house when you get up in the morning, stay active and find ways to take your mind off the elements, like reading a book or breaking a sweat.
He also recommends people keep their bad moods in check because they can be contagious , adding misery doesn’t always like company.
