Opposition politicians question Redford’s fixed election commitment

Opposition politicians are questioning Premier Alison Redford’s commitment to a fixed election date.

While answering questions in the legislature Tuesday, Redford wouldn’t commit to addressing the issue in the fall sitting.

Redford says a fixed election date is still on her radar, but she won’t say when or how she will implement one.

The promise was one of many she made during her successful run for the premier’s job during the recent Progressive Conservative party leadership race.

Redford has already announced or implemented plans to address many of her promises, but has been silent so far on a fixed election date.
