CBE allows Alberta School Board Association to act on its behalf

The Calgary Board of Education has voted to allow the Alberta School Board Association act on its behalf in upcoming discussions with the Alberta Teachers’ Association.
Local trustees also appointed CBE Chairwoman Pat Cochrane as their representative on an Alberta School Board Association advisory committee.
Cochrane tells The Calgary Sun predictable, sustainable funding is a priority, but they’ll also discuss teacher salaries and a new dispute settlement mechanism.
Negotiations could start as early as Friday.
