Early bird deadline approaching for lottery favourite

Time is running out for a chance to win one of two new homes, vehicles and cash in this year’s Lifestyles Lottery.
The early bird deadline to buy tickets for the Rockyview General and Peter Lougheed Hospitals fund-raiser is midnight Thursday, with a 2011 Mercedes Benz the grand prize.
Nicole Janke with Calgary Health Trust says along with two beautiful homes and a shot at $390,000, most people are split on whether they would take the cash or a prize.
“I think it’s a pretty even balance,” she tells 660News. “The additional prizes we do have, outside of the top five grand prizes, there” (are) “lap top computers, Apple I-Pads.”
“We are just over 80 percent sold as of last night,” Janke adds in discussing ticket sales to date. “I think it’s 81.5 per cent sold. The ‘Take 50’ add on jackpot is at $780,000, so you want to get both sets of tickets.”

Proceeds from ticket sales go towards programs and equipment at Rockyview and Loughheed hospitals.
