For the 17th year, Toy Mountain will help to make sure every boy and girl in Calgary has a Merry Christmas.
The toy drive has become the city’s largest campaign, collecting new unwrapped toys for children in advance of the holidays.
From now until Dec. 18, Calgarians can make a donation for those families in need at several locations around the city.
Those donation drop-off spots include Lite 95.9/660News, Bankers Hall, Marlborough Mall, Westbrook Mall, IKEA, Fabricland, GSL Chev City, Calgary Police Service locations and Zellers.
Lite 95.9 promotions director Lisa Usselman tells 660News, she’s seen the difference the drive makes first hand from the warehouse.
“Just seeing how happy they are leaving with their toys, knowing they can give their kids a Christmas just like everyone else does is very rewarding,” says Usselman.
Last year the event collected more than 31,000 toys.
