Optimistic drilling forecast for 2012

The Petroleum Services Association of Canada has released it’s drilling forecast for the coming year.
Psac president and ceo Mark Salkeld tells 660News, they expect 15 thousand 100 wells will be drilled next year across Western Canada.
That’s an increase of 10 per cent over 2011, with the bulk of the activity in Alberta.
Salkeld says there are some factors that could reduce activity, namely a shortage of equipment and workers.
Psac predicts the price of oil will average $85dollars US a barrel next year with natural gas hoveirng around $3.50.
