Holiday spending outlook

Albertans are expected to spend the most in the country on Christmas presents this year.

According to a BMO survey, each person in this province will spend about $731 on average, while most Canadians will spend about $582 on gifts.

The study also pointed out this year, people all over the country are spending relatively more on holiday entertaining rather than on gifts, up by more than $100 to $1,397 this year.
