Red Deer RCMP investigating infant death

RCMP in Red Deer are investigating the death of a baby.

The infant girl was taken to Red Deer Regional Hospital Friday night suffering from life-threatening head injuries.

Later on Friday, she was transported by Stars Air Ambulance to the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton.

The four-month-old died Saturday morning.

RCMP are treating the death as suspicious and an autopsy is scheduled for Monday in Edmonton.
