Retailers extend shopping hours

For some there is no such thing as too much shopping.
Retailers like Walmart realize that and that is why it’s planning to extend the shopping hours of more than half of it’s stores.
Starting December 9th in Calgary and Airdrie Walmart stores will be open 24/7.
Sally Ritchie with the Retail Council of Canada says Walmart and other retailers are simply responding to the needs of their customers.
“The reality is, we live in a different world and retailers have to accommodate the very new and very needs of consumers in that world.”
Ritchie says shopping between midnight and 6 a.m. is a different experience and a good way to avoid the crowds.
