The Salvation Army is having a tough time finding enough volunteers to man its Christmas kettles.
The organization tells the Calgary Sun, if more don’t answer the call, the charity could miss its $1-million fundraising goal.
The salvation army’s Captain Pam Goodyear says on some days last week, only 35 of their 75 kettles were staffed.
A red kettle shift lasts three hours.
Money raised from the campaign goes to Christmas gifts and programs for those in need.
