Basement fire in the northeast

A few scary minutes Wednesday afternoon for a family in the northeast, after a basement fire.
Just after 5 p.m., fire crews were called to a home in the community of Falconridge.
Brian McAsey with the Calgary Fire Department says when they arrived they found smoke and flames coming from the basement.
McAsey tells 660News, crews went into “rescue mode” when people on scene said three others could still be inside the home.
Luckily no one was still inside and McAsey adds the fire was contained within the hour — with no injuries reported.
