Crunch time for sending Christmas parcels

Canada Post says people are running out of time to get Christmas gifts from the North Pole delivered on time.
There is still a small window of time to make sure gifts actually make it to where they need to be on time.
John Caines with Canada Post tells 660News the regular parcel shipping deadlines have already come and gone, so now it will cost extra.
He says people can ship parcels with their last-minute priority next morning rush service up until Thursday.
“The sooner we get it, the sooner we can get it to people and they can enjoy it in time for Christmas, and make sure that there’s no anxiety going on,” Caines said.
If cards go in the mail Monday, they will still make it for Christmas as long as they’re going somewhere local.
Purolator says Monday is its busiest shipping day.
Packages can be sent via Purolator, FedEx and UPS up until Thursday and still arrive in time for Christmas.
