Senior home evacuated after fire

Seniors living in a group residence in the northwest were evactuated Tuesday after a kitchen fire.
Shortly after 12 p.m. fire crews were called to the 400 block of 40th Ave NW.
Firefighters quickly knocked down the fire while evacuating a number of residents from the seniors home.
Crews remained on scene for awhile to ventilate the smoke and clean-up the area.
No one was injured and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
