New political party in Alberta

Albertans are getting a new green political alternative.

The Evergreen Party is being formed to fill the void of the now-departed Green Party of Alberta.

The interim leader of the party, Larry Ashmore, tells The Calgary Sun they will be calling a general meeting early in the New Year to elect a leader and start preparing for a 2012 provincial vote.
