No break from the bitter cold

There’s no immediate relief in sight from the arctic air blanketing Alberta; it’s expected to stick around for several more days.
With wind chill value equivalents in the minus 40’s, wind chill warnings have been issued in many parts of the province.

Local travel agent companies, like Airline ticketcentre.ca report phones are ringing off the hook, with people looking to book a trip to a sunny/warm destination.
Conditions are expected to improve a little later in the week, with the temperature getting back on the plus side on Saturday.
