World Cup Freestyle Skiing event takes over COP this weekend

Some of the best jumpers and mogul skiers in the world are arriving in Calgary in preparation for this weekend’s World Cup Freestyle event at Canada Olympic Park.
It’s the second and final World Cup event to be held in Canada, this year.
“All the best freestyle skiers in the world will be here,” Kelley Korbin of the Canadian Freestyle Association tells 660News. “We have about 120 athletes from 26 countries” (descending) “on Calgary” (Wednesday to) “start training at Canada Olympic Park.”
Saturday is a big day for the Canadian contingent with the finals in the moguls getting underway at 1pm.
“We have the Dufour-Lapointe sisters from Quebec — Chloe, Justine and Maxime who will all be skiing on the mogul hill on Saturday,” says Korbin. “Justine has actually won three silver medals already this year on the World Cup circuit. On the men’s side, Mikael Kingsbury — who is also from Quebec — has won all four mogul events this year. So he’s definitely one to watch on Saturday.”
On Sunday, it’s the spectacular aerials event.
