An LRT line to the new south Calgary hospital would cost an estimated $2-billion and planners say the city can’t afford that right now.
They’re offering up other options for the interim.
They tell the Calgary Herald the best option for the city is to spend $400-million on a partial transit-way with feeder buses.
A new study shows a full southeast LRT may have to wait until at least 2030.
The city held open houses in the southeast this past week to explain the options.
