Decisions in Paxton case expected next week

A Calgary judge will rule Monday, February 6th, on the fate of accused torturer Dustin Paxton.
Justice Sheilah Martin has two decisions to make.
The first is whether to approve a defence request for a stay of proceedings that would essentially end the trial, but if the stay is denied then she will deliver a verdict.
The 31-year-old is accused of the assault, sexual assault and forcible confinement of his former roommate in Calgary.
His defence team has argued he didn’t get a fair trial and says one of the police officers even coached a witness while they were testifying.
