Safer Internet Day

The Internet Child Exploitation Units in our province are reminding parents and their children to have good communication when it comes to online activities.

That message falls in line with Safer Internet Day.

Staff Sgt. Steve Lorne tells 660News parents should keep the family computer in a high traffic area and get to know chat rooms and web-related slang.

As well, he warns children should never meet someone in person they met online without telling their parents.
