Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. has shut down operations at its Horizon oilsands facility north of Fort McMurray for repairs.
There’s no word yet on how long the 110,000 barrel per day operation will be down, but The Calgary Herald reports it could be anywhere from two days to a few weeks.
The Horizon facility shut down for almost eight months last year after a fire destroyed its primary upgrader, which processes bitumen into refinery-ready crude.
