AHS apologizing over health card problem

Alberta Health Services is apologizing to the man pulled from the operating table in Calgary after a discrepancy regarding his health care card.

Calyn Wichert, 24, was about to have gallbladder surgery at the Peter Lougheed Centre last week, but never got the operation after he was told there was an issue with his card.

Wichert tells The Calgary Sun, health officials have still not given him a clear idea of what the problem was, but that he can reschedule it in as little two weeks.
