Calgary among top five cybercrime cities

Calgary has landed number five on a list of Canada’s riskiest online cities.
The rankings are based on the potential for cybercrime to take place against users in the city.
It looked at factors such as the use of Wi-fi hot-spots, the amount of online shopping performed, and how often residents receive “phishing” or “spam” emails.
Norton – the company behind the study – says to keep safe, use unique passwords for all websites, be cautious when using Wi-fi hot spots and stay educated about recent online risks.
Burlington, Ontario was ranked as the riskiest online city.
