The Fire Department had to drain the Inglewood pool Thursday evening after a burst pipe flooded the mechanical room.
At approximately 5 p.m., crews arrived to find the electrical panels threatened by the rising water, and they worked quickly to get pumps in place.
Batt. Chief Frank Nowak says the pipe burst simply due to old age.
The Aquatic Rescue Dive Team was called to place mats over the drain pipes to slow down the leak so the pumps could keep up.
Hazardous Materials was on scene and Alberta Environment was notified.
