Premier Alison Redford says her promise for an inquiry into doctor intimidation is being fulfilled with the order to investigate health care queue-jumping issued earlier this week.
Redford says doctor intimidation issues will likely “bleed into” the queue-jumping judicial inquiry.
The premier had promised an individual inquiry into intimidation during her leadership campaign.
Detractors of Tuesday’s inquiry announcement say it doesn’t go far enough into researching how doctors were treated by Alberta Health Services.
The Calgary Herald reports Redford acknowledges there was doctor intimidation but her focus now is to “fix the problem”.
