Snowfall warning extended to Calgary

The snowfall warning in southern Alberta has been expanded to include Calgary.

Warnings are also in effect for Airdrie, Cochrane, Olds, Sundre, Kananaskis, Canmore, Banff, Jasper National Park, Rocky Mountain House and Caroline with 15 to 30 cm expected by the end of Monday.

A Pacific weather system moving into Alberta will produce heavy snow along the Foothills beginning Sunday night and lasting through Monday.

Snow will first begin to intensify in the Jasper and Nordegg regions and then spread southward.
