More claims of provincial doctor intimidation

More allegations of doctor intimidation are emerging in Alberta, this time from a psychiatrist who worked in Edmonton.
Dr. Peter Rodd says he was pressured into releasing mental patients into the community before he felt they were ready because of a lack of recourses in the mental health system.
Rodd, who is now running for office under the Wildrose banner, says he was threatened with his job, blackmailed and tormented.
The Calgary Sun reports he still feels intimidation is a factor as he waits for papers to come from Alberta Health Services which would allow him to continue practicing medicine in the province.
