Public School Board faces massive shortfall for 2012-13

The Calgary Board of Education is looking for ways to overcome a $19.2-million shortfall in next year’s budget.
The board is planning on putting-off the purchase of technology and non-urgent equipment as a result.
The Calgary Herald also reports administrative costs will be cut, and that they will tap into proceeds from the expected sale of the old CBE headquarters.
There is about $6-million in reserve that board members are considering pouring back into the upcoming budget, or keeping it around as a rainy day fund.
