Harper meets with other North American leaders

Prime Minister Stephen Harper is at the White House Monday for a so-called Three Amigos summit alongside U.S. President Barack Obama and Mexican President Felipe Calderon.

This will be the sixth time the trio has met, but the first time since 2009 they’ll be face-to-face.

Reports indicate continental security will continue to dominate the discussion that was started several years ago, which is tied to immigration and the streamlining of other regulatory issues.

Harper will spend about three hours with Obama and Calderon.

It’s very likely Harper will raise the Keystone XL Pipeline project that has been shelved, at least for now, by Obama.
