Then you might consider pitching it to the Awesome Foundation.
The group celebrates its first anniversary later this month, and — much like CBC TV’s Dragon’s Den — it awards cash to groups or individuals who have provocative thoughts.
But in this case, it’s not multi-millionaires making the decisions on the creative presentations. It’s a group of ordinary Calgarians, sometimes contributing a hundred dollars, hearing ideas to make Calgary just a little bit more awesome.
The Calgary Herald reports in one case a former homeless man pitched the idea of a downtown coffee and donuts delivery service called Timmy’s Only.
Approved ideas are eligible for cash grants of up to a thousand dollars.
In the past year the group has awarded $12,000 in grants, and the evenings when the cash is handed out draw audiences.
