Super commuters are on the rise in our country according to a new study.
People who travel 145 kilometres or more to get to work by any mode of transportation once or more times per week are bending the traditional ideas of a workplace.
The study, by an NYU professor, says that travelling to work is not a new notion but the willingness to travel for work has increased, largely due to the recession especially south of the border.
Canadians super-commute out of choice because their skill set is in demand and the National Post says those who do travel don’t really see it as a necessity.
