Peace Bridge vandalized

A controversial Calgary river crossing has received an unwanted paint job.
Vandals hit the Peace Bridge overnight, tagging sections of the red structure.
Duty Inspector Paul Stacey tells 660News they received calls Saturday morning from concerned Calgarians.
“We sent our units out to have a look at it and sure enough, discovered there is a bunch of graffiti spray painted on the bridge,” says Stacey.
“At this point, we’ve engaged by-law services and our own graffiti expert within the police service to help try and determine who it was that created all of this graffiti.”
There’s no damage estimate at this time.
The Peace Bridge officially opened in late March.
