Police deal with two overnight incidents

Calgary police are dealing with an overnight home invasion in the southeast as well as a liquor store robbery in the northeast.

Duty Inspector Darren Cave tells 660News, the home invasion took place, in the community of Forest Lawn, at about 8:00pm Friday night.

“We had two males enter a residence in the 2200 block of 39th street southeast and the victim alleges that he was assaulted and that property was taken from him.” said Cave.

“Our canine unit and Hawk two were dispatched to the area and the offender fled. The investigation is continuing at this point.”

There was no indication of a weapon at the scene and injuries were minor.

Cash and a cellophane were among the items taken.

Police say, one of the offenders may be known to the victim.

The liquor store robbery, took place just before 11:00pm in the 800 block of Edmonton Trail.

Police are looking for a woman, who was brandishing bear spray and made off with cash.
