A funeral service will be held Sunday for a retired Calgary judge who served for more than 30 years, mainly in the family and youth court division.
Peter Leveque passed away April 14th at the age of 73 following a brief illness.
Before his appointment to the Provincial Court of Alberta, Leveque practiced law in Calgary for 15 years.
A former colleague, Judge Herb Allard, tells the Calgary Herald that Leveque “believed justice meant changing the lives of children who needed rescuing and care.”
A service for Leveque will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at McInnis & Holloway’s Park Memorial Chapel at 5008 Elbow Drive Southwest.
