AHS Twitter to highlight organ and tissue donation

Alberta Health Services is hosting a Twitter chat to highlight organ and tissue donation in an effort to bring awareness to this important issue.
The director for the division of transplantation, Dr. Norman Kneteman will be available to share information and answer questions in a one-hour session
starting Wednesday afternoon at 1 o’clock.

For families, end-of-life donation often adds meaning to their loss. For patients, receiving an organ or tissue donation often means the difference between life and death.
Currently, almost 800 Albertans are waiting for a transplant.
