MLA’s get big transition allowances

The Canadian Taxpayers Federation says Alberta MLA’s retired or defeated in the provincial election are walking away with nearly 15 million dollars in transition allowances.
Eleven MLA’s were voted out of office Monday and 24 are retiring.
It says the highest pay-out, just over one million dollars,is going to retired Tory MLA and speaker Ken Kowalski.
The CTF says it will push Premier Alison Redford to keep her election promise to suspend the golden handshakes.
