A fire that started in a garbage can on the roof of a downtown high-rise caused the evacuation of the building and disrupted traffic Saturday.
Smoke from the fire was drawn into the air intake vent on the 29th floor of the building on 6th Avenue and Macleod Trail.
Crews put out the fire and ventilated the building and say damage is minor.
6th Avenue and Macleod Trail in both directions were shut down for the investigation.
Meanwhile, outside the city, crews battled a large grass fire along a CP line near Langdon.
