Residents home after bomb scare

Residents at a northwest apartment are allowed back into their homes after early reports of a bomb scare.
Police were called to the scene around 7:30 Sunday evening after a device was found in a shed outside the apartment in the 4500 block of 75th Street.
Duty Inspector Darren Leggatt tells 660News the tactical team’s thorough investigation determined the device is completely harmless.
“What it turned out to be was an anert piece of military training ordinates. Likely an item left in a shed, used as a door stop and likely sitting around the residence for a number of years,” Leggatt says.
The investigation lasted for about 90 minutes.
