Going green…Enmax installs 100th solar electric system in Calgary

Enmax installed their 100th solar power system in a Calgary home on Wednesday.
It’s part of the Generate Choice Program which is being touted as the biggest solar energy consumer program in the history of Alberta’s electricity market.
The program began in 2007 with a goal of getting 8,300 homes outfitted with solar power.
Enmax’s Helen Bremner said it has been a very popular program considering it’s a new form of generating power on-site and 8,000 customers have already signed up.
She said each system generates up to 20 per cent in an average user’s home.
