Summer arrives Wednesday afternoon

Hopefully this is a cue for the sun to come out; it’s the first official day of summer!
The season change happens at 5:09 p.m. MST.
For anyone who’s counting, it’s also the longest day of the year, known as summer solstice.
There are more hours of sunlight Wednesday than any other day of the year, even though it’s typically not the warmest day.
