City to reverse transit service along main artery

City aldermen are reversing a decision to cut transit service on major northeast routes and will not reinstate an unpopular Park and Ride fee – for now.
As soon as September, Crowfoot LRT 201, Applewood 45, and Valley Ridge 408 are among five routes which will be on the road more often.
The idea to reinstate the $3 parking fee was also floated, but according to The Calgary Sun one alderman said it’s not fair to riders to change the rules every six months.
Council will debate the Park and Ride fee and the axed service hours in July.
